And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
We are continuing our series on thanksgiving. In the scripture above, Jesus had been teaching the multitude for three days and because of their hunger for the word, they stayed and listened, not leaving. Jesus knew He had to do something but only five loaves of bread and two fish were available.
However, Jesus understood the principle of thanksgiving. He gave thanks for the food available. He did not complain, or start to panic or start to scream at his disciples to get food for the crowd. Instead, He gave thanks. And as the people sat down and Jesus broke the bread, the disciples shared it, it multiplied. Glory to Jesus.
What do you have in your hand today? It might not be enough to pay your bills or handle everything you need to handle, but just apply the principle like Jesus did. Put God to the test and thank Him and let multiplication hit you in Jesus name. AMEN.
Look back through the year, you will find countless instances of God's goodness to you. Intentionally thank him for all He has done. Your level of gratitude determines your level of altitude in life.
